Hello,

I've been asked to put antivirus on 6 windows machines at work. We have McAfee LiveSafe which comes with unlimited users.

Is this ok to use for business computers - After contacting McAfee they seems to think it would be?

If you already have it, go ahead and give it a shot. You can also install a product like GEARS from OPSWAT (free for up to 25 pcs). It'll do a daily scan (cloud-based) with other antivirus programs to give you peace of mind that McAfee isn't missing anything big. If you find that other antivirus products are detecting stuff that McAfee isn't, then you should consider switching. My guess is that unless your users are engaging in risky behavior, or like opening spam emails - you'll be protected from most common threats with McAfee.

It depends on what your computers are being used for, and if you have varying brands. McAfee LiveSafe comes with a slew of features. It comes with the tradition malware protection (website protection, scanning, etc.), however it also comes with many other features. Like facial/voice recognition secured storage, or securely sharing passwords between devices.

From the reviews read it seems it is best suited for cross-platform malware protection, as it can be used on macintosh, windows, android, blackberry, ios, and kindle fire devices.
