What in your opinion is the best antivirus software today?
Money isn't an issue

They seem to vary from year to year. The best one to me is the one that lets through the least amount of viruses/malware. I've been using avast free for the last 4 years or so with excellent results.

I've been using avg for the last 4-5 years on all the computers I build and I all ways loved it but lately I've been reading that avg is bad and I need to switch.
What do you think is it so bad?

Paid: GDATA as suggested by "Area51..." or Kaspersky

Free: Many; I like MSE v 4. It is pretty good and extremely light.

Extras: Either a realtimie MBAM Pro or an on-demand MBAM, SuperAntispyware plus real-time (free I suppose) Spyware guard.
