Question Anyone seen a problem like this before..?

I bought a new G-sync monitor, the Asus PG349Q.

Except, when I have G-sync turned on, it will flicker off and on for half a second occasionally. This will always happen when I minimise programs, or while playing some games.

I am running the monitor externally from a laptop, via mini-DP to DP, duplicating the screen, and with the laptop lid down.

Here is the weird part, the flickering problem never happens, while the laptop lid is up.

Anyone know why this is the case, and what I can do to fix it?

I have not personally run this configuration before, but I would make sure all of my nvidia drivers are up to date (consider doing a clean install). Also see if the monitor has firmware that can be updated.

Lastly, I would search out Asus forums and see if you can find a community you can ask. This one is a bit generic, and your question is very specific.
