Apple Care question

Hello all, I have a question regarding the services that Apple offers when dealing with phone and headphone replacements. Recently, my iPhone 5 has been cutting off power when I have 20-40% left. It has become extremely annoying and I have been looking to heading to my local Apple store in order to have the problem resolved. I was wondering if they would swap my phone for a brand new 5, or if it would be just a quick battery swap? Im trying to push them into giving me a brand new 5c or 5s (would be nice considering a $300 phone dies on 40%) but I know that may not work out. Same goes for headphones which recently blew out. If you have had a similar situation, please let me know the results. Thanks!

They will replace it if your Apple care and or Apple warranty is still in effect, however, they will not upgrade your phone. And on top of that, there may be a $100+ fee for any replacement/repair.
