No doubt due to the USA having the highest concentration of buy-it-for-looks, its-so-cool, put-it-on-my-credit-card minded people (shallow people) on the planet. Hence the existance of many products which are downright unnecessary (ie. Hummers, Escalades) that sell well to idiots that have to make up for their tiny junk with expensive toys.

I drive a Corolla : D Just bought my first MAC a few months back and really enjoy it. I have been throwing so much money into PC's the last 10 years, Video card upgrade, memory upgrade, CPU upgrade, HD upgrade. I figured i would just get a mac and use it until it fell apart on me. So upfront money is above what i feel comfortable with, but i don't have to worry about making it faster better/etc (MAC curbs the temptation for me). The OS itself is a nice change from Windows. I still use the Win at work, in any case im sticking with MAC. Stereo types are awful.
