applications wont open

HELP please.I have this problem that my .exe files can but Applications won`t open..it`s weird but my Media Center won`t open as well as Sims 3 idk what i did but pls HELP!!!

Where did you get the Applications?

Any error messages or codes when the Application(s) fail to open?
