Are more ram make my laptop faster??

Solution
With 8gb of ram, it is unlikely that more ram will help.
If your work is photoshop or another app that can use lots of ram, then yes, adding ram can help.

More likely moving windows to a ssd will give you a magical boost in everyday performance.
5400 rpm laptop drives are optimized for battery life, not performance.
I like the Samsung ssd migration app.
You run it and move the windows C drive to a Samsung ssd and boot from it.
Here is a link to a youtube video for upgrading your laptop(I only looked at the first few minutes)

I agree with the SSD idea. Even if you do run out of RAM it will help then also. In a Dell turn off Auto Defragmentation in System Tools. It's on by defaoult in Dells and SSDs don't like it very much.
