are they dead?

I was listening to music and heard a pop like the speakers blew. then they won't work anymore? Are they dead now? or fixable?

dead I would think, they are not really fixable if the driver failed, which I suspect happened.

if there using mb onboard sound port use a pair of headphones or another set of speakers make sure the mb sound is working. if it is try the speakers in another device. if these are powered phones check to see if there a fuse and see if it pop. if it pop see if there a broken wire. if there no fuse but there powered see if someone has a volt meter and check to see if the ac brick/battery has power and see if the unit has power. if not see if there under warranty and rma them .
