As soon as I turn on the laptop ASUS just stays on the screen. How am I to start it ?

ASUS will not leave the screen and intel's lovo on the bottom right corner wont leave the screen

Has the system been dropped or taken apart recently, or had a hardware change (like upgraded memory)?
