Assassin's Creed Multisampling issues

As some of you may know, when you stick Assassin's Creed 1 on 1920x1080 it disables all multisampling. I looked how to enable it and everywhere keeps referring to a file known as Assassin.ini , however I have searched all over the game files and this does not seem to exist.
It runs through steam if that helps.
If anyone could help my minor issue that would be great

In Windows XP it should be found in \Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed
In Windows Vista and Win 7 it should be in \Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed
you should have two files there one that says assassin, one that says DARE - assassin lets you modify graphics, DARE lets you modify sounds
if using a different OS, a system search should locate the file for you.
