I purchased a zenpad 3s 10 last Christmas and haven't had any issues but lately it won't charge while the tablet is on. If I plug it in while the tablet is on the lightning bolt shows up in the battery icon like its charging but it just discharges what seems like a slower rate but won't actually charge till it's turned off. So far I've tried a new plug and power block. Factory and aftermarket. Factory data and cache wipe. Reinstalled latest fw from sd card. I've tried different outlets and usb on my PC but no luck. The tablet is still under warranty but I was hoping to not have to mail it to Texas and it be gone who knows how long as I use it daily for my business. Any ideas?

Sounds like you may have something on the tablet that is causing the drain. I would try checking the table for malware, viruses, and even bad apps. It also could be any app on the device that auto starts when the tablet starts up.

Try starting it up in "Safe Mode" and see if you get the same issue. If it will actually charge in "Safe Mode" fine, then you have something on the device that is the cause of the drain.

To get into "Safe Mode" please do the following.

1. First turn off the tablet.

2. Next press and hold "Power" until you see the manufacturers logo on the screen, then release the power button.

3. "Quickly" press "Volume Down" and hold it for few seconds until you see the message "Safe mode: ON" or something similar.
