Asus AI Suite III Question (leave running in background or safe to close?)

I was wondering, after setting 4-way optimization/ Fan Xpert settings/ etc., do I have to leave the suite open, or can I close it? Like are the settings automatically saved to the BIOS, or is it all controlled by the software and it has to be running in the background?

yes it runs as a service in the background.

if you want to test this, set up an extreme profile (so that the fans speed up at virtually no load) and then close it down and see if it uses the profile (by listening to the fans). then reboot and see if it still does this. Mine does.
