I Think I might have a problem with the cpu. I have noticed that core 2 runs hotter than the rest. It mostly idles around 39c to 43c With core#2 Running 40c to 46c. I don't believe its any program running because I have tested with a reformatted hdd. One thing I did notice when I came in my room I noticed that my laptop was off my cooling pad and the legs so I suspect fool play. I think my cat might of sat on it when it was off. My question is could the thermal paste have gotten disturbed with the #2 core being compromised.
 
Solution
That is completely normal. You can sometimes see a 5C difference (or bigger under load) between certain cores due to how they are distributing loads in the OS or due to other manufacturing reasons. Nothing to worry about.
