Asus GL551JW-WH71 Keyboard backlight not working

I am very RED/Green Color blind, and the black keys with the red lettering have been very difficult TO SEE in anything but very bright office light The backlight key, when it worked, offered very little additional help. since it only seemed to offer a subtle increase in light that lit up the perimeter of the keys, and at some point a WIndows 10 update must have disabled that and other Function keys
A. Find an ATK patch as mentioned in other post replies. which still would be difficult to read:
B See if there is a keyboard replacement with white lettering

Did you install all of the drivers especially the ATK driver from here?
https/www.asus.com/us/Laptops/ROG-GL551JW/HelpDesk_Download/

Would also update the BIOS if not already done
