Asus K501UX Notebook screen flickers at random times for no apparent reason

Hi all,

I was just given this notebook, and the screen randomly flickers.

I only installed windows 10 (64 bits edition) and work applications (Visual Studio and Office 2016).

Should I return the notebook or can this be solved using software?
(Already installed latest drivers for the intel graphics card and nvidia latest drivers)

Hi,

The flickering issue may have something to do with a driver problem. Do try a clean install of the graphics card driver first.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
- Open Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to your graphics card.
- Download and install the latest driver from the graphics card manufacturers site.
- Once installed reboot your laptop and test it again.
- Also do run Windows Update and install the available updates there is.
- If all these will not work and if it's a fairly new laptop I would suggest taking it back.
