Question Asus laptop black screen after fell down

My laptop ASUS X515EA-BQ1752W fell down and the screen turned black. Rest of the laptoo is working fine, movie just continued playing... connecting to an external screen also works fine.

Is this fixable and what can I do to try?
Of course I tried rebooting.

could be as simple as loose connection to the screen. or could be the screen itself
but sound like you don't know enough to open it. take it to a shop

Take your phone's camera light and place it directly on the screen. In a dark room it's easier to make out cracks or if the backlight is just out.

if the screen is cracked, it will require replacement, which is usually pretty easy. There are plenty of tutorials on youtube if you are comfortable doing it yourself.

If the display actually shows content but no light, then it may just be the cable connecting the screen to the motherboard.

This video shows the process, and it's usually about the same for every low end laptop.
