ASUS Laptop CPU temp 99c when playing San Andreas????

I was playing san andreas yesterday night (Ambient temp about 20c-22c) and my CPU temp went right up to 99c!!!!!!!!

It's an ASUS X54C laptop with an i3 2310, 4GB of RAM and Intel Integrated Graphics. I have had it a year and it used to go under 78c when gaming. I think it's not dust because it didin;t gradully get hotter it was 78c when gaming for sometime then it was always about 90c. The 99c yes I admit I was sitting on my bed but other times when it goes to 90c I am not. The laptop even at 85c feels REALLY hot out of the exhaust area. I guess if it really feels hot it's not a faulty sensor.

It goes to bout 60c when web browsing but sometimes quickly peaks to 75c

Had the same problem on my asus laptop. Looked up a video guide, bought some good thermal paste, and popped it open and repasted the Cpu. Dropped 30 degrees on average easy. Cheap Asus thermal paste junk.

Try using your laptop in a ventillated area with good air flow.....

Or if its still causing heat issues buy a cooling pad for your laptop...

Even though I built a PC myself I don't really wanna mess around with it because I might mess something up

stuperstrong - It still goes to 90c on a airflow area like on my desk. Is there a decent cooler pad? (Cheap) which you would reccomend ?
