Mates,
I've got a headscratcher of a problem. I've uploaded a video of the problem below. In short, everything is fine when I boot up my laptop. Screen is bright and crisp... However! Eventually, when I do certain things, the screen switches to a dimmer setting somehow, and not gradually either. It then stays that way, at least until I turn the laptop off and turn it back on, at which point its the normal brightness again. This typically occurs when I plug in my power cord or unplug it. Alternatively, it occurs when I boot back up after the laptop has been asleep for some time. It isn't any kind of adaptive brightness, and Intel's Power Saving Technology has been turned off. Further, as I'm sure you'll see when you watch this video, this isn't the gradual kind of adaption you would typically see, either.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm at a loss and I've tried about everything I can think of.
