Asus N56VJ with no OS.

Hi there folks,

I'm about to purchase an Asus laptop N56VJ with no factory-installed OS on it. I'm planning to have Win7 installed but now I'm wondering if the hardware drivers will be compatible with Win7 or if there's all drivers I need to be found somewhere. I've tried Asus support but it won't let me put a question until I fill in the laptop details, which I can't since I haven't bought it just yet.

You'll be able to download the drivers you need from the product page on the Asus website.

That's where I was looking but I only get to choose "Win8 64bit" or "Others" but there's not all the drivers when I choose "Others." Does that mean those drivers for Win8 will also work for my Win7?

In a lot of cases Windows 8 drivers work on Windows 7. Else you can try to download the drivers manually from sites like Nvidia, Intel, Realtek.
