Well, it depends on what you want to do with either, i.e. how you generally use a computer. If you game and such, your best bet would be to go with the Sony, as it has the superior/more powerful hardware. Sony makes a decent laptop in terms of reliability as well, so I don't think that you'll have any issues with it.
