Solved! Asus not playing dvd

I also have asus, Have vlc and M/S media player however my disk drive starts up 4/5 seconfds then stops. doesnt load or play. there was a request to tick option last week . I ticked do nothing. and it is so nothing is done.. What do I d

Open either program, Select File (at the top) then Open. Browse to the dvd and play select the file you want to play.

Assuming that since you replied you meant to say yes so
In Win7, Autoplay is under 'Hardware & Sound' in the Control Panel.
Win10, you will find Autoplay under: Settings > Devices.
