ASUS or LENOVO laptop for engineers

Hello I am planning to buy an ASUS pr Lenovo laptop that can sufficiently support engineering softwares like AUTOCAD and MULTISIM. I need suggestions of models with an i5 processor, with at least 500gb memory, with Nvidia video card. $700-800. Thanks a lot. ) #ASUS

If you are looking at new and need a system for pro work you need to spend more on a laptop. The Lenovo workstation laptops with a Quadro video card for engineering start at over $1,000

Same thing for the HP Z series.

ASUS does not really have any egineering systems but the gaming Republic Of Gaming systems may and the N550JK model as well.

You can probably find a used Lenovo W520 in your price range easily though. I use one as my office system, thing is solid.

Reason for the gaming systems is that their video cards and RAM options are the best outside of real workstation laptops to run CAD programs. I stay away from touchscreens in laptops, unless you like Windows 8 and are doing very light work like video watching.
