Hello I am planning to buy an ASUS pr Lenovo laptop that can sufficiently support engineering softwares like AUTOCAD and MULTISIM. I need suggestions of models with an i5 processor, with at least 500gb memory, with Nvidia video card. $700-800. Thanks a lot. :)) #ASUS

If you are looking at new and need a system for pro work you need to spend more on a laptop. The Lenovo workstation laptops with a Quadro video card for engineering start at over $1,000

Same thing for the HP Z series.

ASUS does not really have any egineering systems but the gaming Republic Of Gaming systems may and the N550JK model as well.

You can probably find a used Lenovo W520 in your price range easily though. I use one as my office system, thing is solid.

Thank you for the response @hang-the-9, I'm not into gaming though. :wahoo: . I just need a system that could flawlessly run the softwares that I need. And do you think that touch screen laptops are better to have nowadays? and non-touch isn't much good anymore?

Reason for the gaming systems is that their video cards and RAM options are the best outside of real workstation laptops to run CAD programs. I stay away from touchscreens in laptops, unless you like Windows 8 and are doing very light work like video watching.
