The GTX 960M is a relatively powerful laptop card whose performance somewhat resembles a desktop GTX 750 Ti - by now a relatively low-midrange option. You should be able to play new games at 1080p for two or so years, then after that, frame rate drops will force you to lower image quality settings, or live with lower-than-60FPS performance.
