Asus RoG laptops worth it?

Been surfing around for a gaming laptop and my buddy uses an asus Rog laptop, says that his has been good to him. looking at http/www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231630 but have heard that the RoG laptops are a bit pricey because of the name. can some folks let me know if they are worth it and worth the price?

If you want to spend to get one of the best quality laptop for gaming then yes it would be worth it for most. Although, the name and brand does carry a price to pay. Whenever it is worth it is down to how much you will use the laptop.

i have always been a fan to asus, i was just never sure if their RoG branded laptops were legit or just a $$$ ruse. hoping to make this a mobile/ desktop replacement so probably using it immensely. thanks for your input

Good laptops, powerful, good graphics, plenty of DRAM, the quality alone is worth a bit of a premium, as these are designed towards gaming and heavy use, many aren't and when used heavily heat up tremendously and battery life sinks quicky

crappy battery and heat is to be expected for a gaming laptop. but all assuring things that move me towards buying the one i linked, thanks you for your input

Actually as far as reviews go - the Asus ROG laptops, or atleast the new ones run very cool and have a longer battery life than the average gaming laptops on the market. Not to mention they're quieter.
I personally think they're well worth the premium.
