I've been having WiFi connection issues for years with my ASUS ROG G551JW-Win10 Home. The laptop works great but for some reason that I can not find a pattern for or a solution to, it loses WiFi connection out of nowhere randomly. It could be working fine for months, then all the sudden it can't connect to WiFi. Sometimes restarting fixes it but not always & not permanently. Over the years I've run tons of virus scans, system scans, river updates & IPconfigs & nothing seems to fix the issue.
-It doesn't have a predictable pattern, like after an OS upgrade.
-It always starts the same. I see the globe icon indicating I'm not connected.
-I open the WiFi options & all the options are gone except my primary connection. I try connecting & nothing happens. Eventually even it disappears.
-If I click the Blue WiFi button nothing happens it does not turn off. It flashes indicating it was clicked on but nothing happens. I can turn the Airplane mode button next to it on & off no problem.
-I bought a TP Link Mini USB WiFi dongle on advice of a forum a few years ago & that seemed to help for while.
-Sometimes if you eject the TP Mini dongle from the device manager & re-insert, that can fix the problem, but maybe 50% of the time. Over the last 5 days its not worked once.
-I have not make any hardware or driver changes & I'm up-to-date on Win 10 OS.
**The only way to fix it is to-Right Click on the Planet Icon-Troubleshoot Problem-Select WiFi & the let it run.
-That will fix it, but the last 3 days only for a few minutes to an hour or 2 then I have to do those steps again.
-I've restated several times. I've left it shutdown for a day or 2 & still the problem occurs.
-I have pictures of the most common Error Reports after it has done the troubleshooting.
-The most common error is "This computer is set to manually connect to "Who-Dey_EXT" or some other connection it's made in the past. If I go & delete those connections it finds others & gives the same error. The Who-Dey_EXT I didn't even find after I got that error. I'm not sure where it is finding them.
-The others are " The default gateway is not available" ......Fixed & "Problem with wireless adapter or access point"....Fixed.

Could it be a bad WiFi adapter/card? Maybe a piece of hardware I can replace? I'm extremely annoyed by this problem & would love a solution.
Thanks!!!!
