asus s56c No charge

Laptop won't charge battery or turn on when battery removed and plugged directly into wall. I've tried the push button trick. Replaced the power jack, and used different power supplies. I bought a new battery for it and it worked fine.. but battery wouldn't take charge. What next?

Have you checked the charging circuit to make sure it isn't damaged?
