Solved! Asus Screen Pink/Purple after marks

My Asus Q502LA’s screen started flickering the pinky purple and green about two weeks ago. I plugged it in to my tv and the tv looked perfectly fine, so I opened it up to make sure the cords weren’t broken or damaged which it doesn’t look like they are so I figured it was my screen. A few days later after I unplugged my screen and plugged it back in so I could use my laptop it started working. There were no after marks or flickering so I figured I must have fixed it. But it is once again doing it only after it went to sleep (I have been only shutting it down since it started working again). So what’s the deal? The laptop is about 2 years old btw.

Do the cables usually stop working then start working again? If it is getting old wouldn’t it just slowly stop working? Not fo back and forth?!

when you flip the laptop open some times the breaks line up. could also be a partial break and getting signal degradation
