Solved! Asus U56 (Refurb) opinions?

Hello,

Can't find much info on this laptop. Seems like a great deal. Don't think refurbished is an issue.

The U56 looks pretty good. Has more storage, slower CPU (not by much though), and more RAM. I would go for the U56 if those are the only choices you have.

Edit: The U56 also has 1 USB 3 port which makes it a no brainer in my opinion. Pair it up with a nice USB 3 thumb drive - and you have a very fast way of transferring files!

thanks. What is USB 3 I haven't heard of it? Just a faster USB port?

Yes, it is approximately 10x faster than USB2 - so if you transfer lots of files via USB key and have a USB3 key to go with your USB3 port - it won't take long to transfer them.
