Solved! Asus Vivobook S15 S530 drives

Hi.... I've just bought an Asus Vivobook S15 S530 with the i5 8th gen processor........ I bought it with the 1TB HHD but after using it for a week it seems a bit slow, especially when having to do updates....... I'd like to add an SSD M.2 to speed it up..... Can anyone advise me on the best way forward. I'm considering the Samsung Evo 860 or 960.... but not sure if its an overkill... I've already upped the RAM from 8 to 16GB but want a bit more speed....... Suggestions welcome as I'm not too savy computer wise.

Speed of applying updates should not have much to do with the hard drive speed, once they are downloaded the setup time would be almost the same, most of the work is done by the CPU and RAM.
