Asus X201E black screen

My laptop does no longer display anything. The screen is back lit during post and then goes dark when Windows takes over. The LCD panel is OK (I have swapped the screens between two X201Es to check). Attempting to enter BIOS configuration did not produce any display either nor did attaching an external monitor.

What should I try next?

Hi, if you can't go in the BIOS, check your RAM, if you have two, try one at a time.
