Hello,

I have ASUS X454W:
-CPU: AMD E1-6010 1.35 GHz with integrated AMD Radeon R2
-2GB RAM
-Windows 7 32bit
I got blue screen today with the message somthing like: "....hardware failure......" (I am sorry I don't remember the whole message) and I couldn't turn my laptop off, so I force-turned off it (pressing power button).
I tried to turn on my laptop afterward, but unfortunately it won't boot up, there's only black screen with blinking line.
I can enter bios, so I try to boot my laptop from another drive, I tried to boot it from DVD drive but it just won't boot either, only the same black screen was shown up. The same thing happened when I tried to boot my laptop from flash drive.
So, please give me advice? Thank you.

Solution
Hello... OK... You need to go into the BIO's and set your BOOT order, with DVD or USB first on the list, save&exit. And bootable media from the DVD or USB will be read or started on re-boot.

Thanks for replaying.

Well, I am not sure, some years maybe, but my flash drive is still working just fine in my other pc, Acer Aspire One(a stone age netbook). I mean I can boot my Acer Aspire One( a very old netbook) via my USB flash drive and DVD drive (the same boot drive I tried to boot my ASUS).

Hello... Well if you can get into a Bios screen that is a good Health sign here for the MB operation... Typical Boot problems will be the OS Bootdrive.
Is the boot drive removable from this laptop? AND do you have any MS OS install media?

I think the boot drive (hard disk drive) is removable, but I don't want to remove my laptop cover, because I still have warranty on it and removing its cover will break the warranty seal.
I have MS Win7 32bit DVD and bootable UFD (the same OS), but as I stated in the opening post, I can't boot both of them on my laptop (ASUS). However, they are bootable on my netbook (Acer).
Anyway, thanks for your help.
