Asus x550jk-dh71 Windows 7 gtx850m issues.

I recently purchased an ASUS x550jk-dh71 laptop. I'm not a fan of windows 8 so I installed windows 7. Everything works fine except for the gtx850m graphics card. I installed the windows 7 drivers I got from the asus webtsite for both the intel adapter and for the nvidia adapter. However, the nvidia adapter has a yellow exclamation point next to it in the device manager. The error code it gives is 43. Help would be appreciated.

Forget the ASUS drivers for the NVidia card. Make sure the Intel adapter is disabled in the BIOS, if there is a user setting that allows it. Some laptop bios do, some don't. Perform a CLEAN install of the GPU drivers using the drivers from the NVidia website, which are likely to be newer and have better compatibility. To perform a clean install of the drivers, follow the directions at the following link in the CLEAN drivers section:

And then install THESE drivers:
