Well, that's a good way to make sure people can buy "New" accessories.

That's funny... apparently Apple had some spare stock of the now useless chargers and decided to ditch them, though it's probably going to backfire when people realize they don't work.

I had to buy a Scosche converter for my wife's car - they do work but it seems a stupid thing for Apple to do... rendering a lot of expensive hardware obsolete unless you add yet another dongle to your iPod.
