Audible Software

I just upgraded my audible player on the ipaq 4155 and all goes well except
now my books don't sow up in MS Reader which I prefer over the audible
player. I can't quite figure out how to get it to appear, but I have notice
that the new player puts the books in the same directory as the files for
the player. Prior to the upgrade, the books had their own directory folder
alongside the audible player's directory. So far, that's the only difference
I can see.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Why did you upgrade the Audible Player if you wanted to view them in
Reader? I'd recommend uninstalling it and putting the old version back
on. When you get something that works with Audible, you never change
your setup because the chances of getting it working again are slim
and none. I love their content but *hate* their programming
department.

Well, I had to do a hard reset and when I went to download the software,
that's what I got, the newer version. Trust me, I know what you mean about
Audible...but there's nothing I can do since this is what they're sending
out in the way of software now. I don't have the older version.

Ahhh.. :-(

Yeah, I had to do the same after a hard reset after installing the new
iPAQ ROM. I've not been able to get Reader to view it either. I am
still working on it though. It is some combination of uninstalling the
Audible reader and leaving some of the Audible .dll files in place on
the device.

Well I contacted Audible today so if I get a fix before you figure it
out...I'll let you know...although I doubt it. I'll keep you posted.
