Audica MicroSub - what speakers?

Hello everyone,

I was given a MicroSub for free. The model is AUD7-MSA made by AUDICA. You can see the specifications here.

I've never seen it as a whole system when it was bought so I have no idea what the full package contained.

I would like to use it to for my TV but I have absolutely no idea what speakers can I attach to it. I don't know what wattage the speakers must be, do they have to have be active or passive and so on.

Could anyone give me a short explanation and advise me on pair of speakers (preferably below £50)?

Your MicroSub is self powered but does not provide for power for the 2.0 speakers so you will need powered speakers. If you were using a PC then no problem but with your TV the type of audio output it has can be an issue. If it has an analog stereo audio outputs then you just need to split the output to feed the sub and speakers (make sure it is a variable audio output). If it has optical digital audio output (or if the analog output is fixed) then there is a problem. You can convert the optical to analog output

but the TV volume will be fixed so your would need an external volume control
