Hi, new here. I'm looking for suggestions for an app that can do three things: sequence midi, record wave files, and mix the two for playback. I'm willing to spend some money ($100-$200) if its worth it, and something that comes with patch-in hardware would be nice, but any suggestions would be nice, thanks!!!

There's a ton of software out there that can do what you want, both free and paid versions. Personally, I've always liked Adobe audition which I have the older full version of which I paid for back before they went to a subscription based service. Now it's something like 19.99 per month.

If you want something free, I'd look at Audacity, which is very capable, extremely flexible and handles just about every audio file format and codec ever used.
