So I just bought a desktop and a monitor. I already have a laptop with webcam/mic and my monitor doesn't. Sometimes I skype with my friends when we play games, but I want to use a gaming headset or earbuds. I saw a cable on Amazon that was a 2-male 1 -female, and I was wondering if that would work for combining the audio between my desktop and laptop?

Solution
you could use a simple 3.5mm audio cable and plug your laptop's audio output into your desktop's audio input (should be the blue colored audio jack in the back) and then activate the playback. i use the same thing whenever i play console games but i want to use teamspeak on my desktop for comms.
