Audio output from elonex tv

Hi all, first post on here. I currently have an Elonex xv-s tv which was a hand me down from some relatives and I am wanting to link it up to my speakers which are Exibel BX800. However the audio out from my tv is an rca red and white cable and the input on the speakers is also the same. I apologize if I'm being a novice with this but can't seem to set it up to use the speakers for tv audio. Unless it's just the tv that's too old to do so.

If the TV has RCA audio outputs (make sure that they are not inputs) and the speakers have the same you should be able to get sound. Check the TV menus as on some you need to turn off the internal speakers to get the audio to output.

Thanks, the menus don't offer much in terms of changing the sound unfortunately. So frustrating. The TV shows both inputs and outputs so it should be achievable
