Audio system help

Hello,
I have an old record player that i have connected to my newer sound system. sound is only coming out of half of my speakers though.
the output cord of the record player is black and white and is connected inside of the record player so there is no way to switch it.
all of the inputs on my system are red and white is there any way for me to make it so i can get sound from all of my speakers?

the output from the record player is stereo. it makes sense that it would only play in stereo on your audio system and not in surround sound. pretty much all music is stereo with a few exceptions.

if you're using a receiver you can always swap your speaker mode so that the rear speakers repeat what the front speakers do. this will give you the solution you want. just remember to swap it back afterwards.

dose your receiver have a listening mode called DolbyPLII? if so, that will take any 2.1ch inpput and turn it into true 5.1ch output.
