Audiovox FP2000 seems cracked

My Audiovox FP 2000 seems to be cracked. As I run my hand over it its smooth. When I turn it on it looks like a baseball hit it and cracked it from the inside. After I have it on for a few minutes it starts to smell awful. It still shows a picture, on the part of the screen which has not been cracked.

What I am looking for is a diagnosis of the problem, or a way to diagnose the problem. Also for a schematic of how to take the monitor apart.

The screen appears to cost more than a new tv ($385), time to start shopping for a sale.

That is crazy expensive. I'll look for a manual and take it apart to play with it..when junk it.

It probably that much because of the odd screen size and the scarcity of them. I actually only found 1 listing for it.
