Howdy Partners!!

Wombat here,

I got a little project I would like to take up...

It all started with me wanting a smick looking gaming chair/body enclosure, now I cant source any in Australia, so I tough I may as well build one,

I have two cert 3's in graphical design, and I'm pretty handy with a welder. So to start with the project I would like to draw up a 3d Model of the chair which I would like to create.... It would look similar to this:
http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=ultimate+gaming+chair&hl=en&safe=active&sa=X&rlz=1C1CHKB_en-GBAU450AU450&biw=1920&bih=979&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=c4b0u9ZWTm4eBM:&imgrefurl=http://www.webtechgeek.com/Tech-Toys-Gadget/11-08-05/PCE-ultimate-computer-setup.htm&docid=W6CDHB84mCxeqM&imgurl=http://www.webtechgeek.com/NewYorkPics/MYPCE.jpg&w=251&h=290&ei=fFovT63jKfGQiAfjpYXXDg&zoom=1

Now I have taken allot of things into account, my question today is:

What free Autocad like software is there "these days" that I could use. (I'm know autocad back to front)

I'll need something that I can project dimensions off..

Is ProgeCAD any good? Is there anything better? Open to suggestions

Thanks Wombat,

(I give best answers)

The project could take a while depending on when I want to start production... so it would only expire, thanks though!
