Automatically changing brightness

Hello,

guyz i have a weird problem. The brightness on my laptop automatically changes based on the color of desktop. It becomes dark whenever the background is dark and becomes light whenever i open a document. Its a new DELL n5050.

Need help.

I could find little in support from Dell about that but did find this
"To Adjust the LCD Brightness hold the FN Key and Repeatedly Press the Up Arrow to increase the brightness.
or while holding the FN Key and Repeatedly Press the Down Arrow to decrease the brightness."
I believe that once you set your brightness manually, the auto adjust action should go away. Hope it helps.

well the thing is that no matter how much i manually tweak brightness the auto brightness issue doesn't go away. Its so annoying i can't even watch a movie because of constant changing in brightness.
