AVG free antivirus Wont download

It wont download, when i click run on it it says "A Device attached to the system wont function" what do i do? My browser is popping up random tabs so i need this anti virus to clean them up, please help fast. thanks you

you probably have a virus/malware on the computer. You have to boot in safe mode with networking. then install something like malwarebytes.org or superspyware.com

I just cleaned my hardrive and installed windows 7 again lol
