Backup did not complete successfully the system cannot find the file specified

I am attempting to back up my files on a Toshiba laptop running Vista really quick to a DVD and I am unsuccesful. Keep getting the message that an error occurred. "The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002). Any suggestions?

download the free version, and do the disk cleaner

then, click start, go to "computer", then right click on your "C" drive, go to properties, then tools, then under error checking, click check now, next screen check both boxes, and then begin, you will have to reboot, then try again
