Battery life

is there anybody out there with any knowledge of batties. Have a aspire 5920G and the battery was fine for about 10 months and then it would only kept a charge to last about 10 minutes. Is the battery defunct and i need a new one or what. please help

Sounds like a bad battery. Batteries usually have a 1 yr warranty, you may be able to get a new one from Acer. If the laptop runs fine on wall power, the issue is not the charger.

thanks but the battery is about 13 months old now and i dont hold much hope of getting a new one from acer. Poor show when you have to buy a new battery every 10 months or so as they are kinda expensive

Normally you don't need to buy a battery that often, but sometimes you end up with a bad one. Especially if it's a 3rd party battery. Most batteries should last 3-4 years with maybe a 30-50% loss of life at the end.
