Battery looks fully charged but laptop turns off as soon as I unplug. Happened once before but fixed itself.

Hey, I have a samsung series 7 chronos laptop, and it's a couple of years old. The battery looks fully charged, but when unplug it it dies. This happened once before, but it fixed itself somehow. Is there a software issue that could be responsible or a way to reset the battery?

Sounds like you just need a new battery.

When batteries no longer hold a charge... it means it's time to have it replaced. There have been reports of people reviving dead batteries. Here is a video that might help:

Would it be safe to do that with a battery that can't be removed without taking apart the laptop?

I just checked... there are guides to removing the bottom to access the battery. I suppose you need to determine if it's worth the extra effort...
