My laptop is 2.5 years old and I had to replace the battery a few weeks ago. Now when the new battery is fully charged, the LED of the battery is blinking blue. My store did not know what it means, nor can I find it in the manual (when it is charging it blinks amber). The blue goes out after a few minutes. Does someone knows what it means ?

Are you able to boot the laptop up in to windows, if not the blinking blue light I believe means it is in a sleep mode. Try removing battery and power lead then attempt a hard reset by holding down the power button for 30 seconds to a minutes longer if you wish.

If you are able to boot into windows then you may need to do the same as if its not in sleep mode the motherboard is not happy about something the above may just clear the problem or could be loose or dirty ram caused by dust buy a can of compressed air and clean the fans vents out and slots for the ram chips. Use a pencil rubber to clean the contacts on the ram chips.
I would make sure you discharge the static from your body first before handling any components.

Thanks I'll try your advise. Although the LED only started beginning blinking blue when the old battery began to break down. The 2 years before I never saw it blue even in sleep of hibernate mode.
