battery not reconized

hello i have an acer 5515 and it stopped recognizing the battery i read the other issue with this and you recommended updating the boot bio i did this but it will not update the. bios version is Acer V1.00, 12/3/2008 do i just need a new battery?

Try a new battery, if that does not work, could be something with the motherboard or connectors. If the battery is not seen some BIOS setups will not start since a loss of power can kill the system if it's in the middle of a BIOS update.
