battery problem galaxy n7000

after updating to jellybean 4.1.2, my galaxy n7000 has battery issues....it takes 7-8 hrs to charge and it dies in 10 hrs of use

I don't see how updating the OS would cause any kind of battery issue. Also, 10 hours of use is pretty decent.

Is your charger/USB cable damaged?
