Hi all. I have an Asus Q551l. I haven't used it in 4 months but when I was using it, I never had trouble with it. Now, the battery shows 100% charge, but Windows keeps saying the battery is low (even though it shows 100% when I mouse over the battery icon) and the laptop shuts down. Then I must plug it in to boot it back up.
What's the easiest thing to try first? The battery is not accessible without unscrewing the back cover and I don't have that star-shaped screwdriver it needs. But I can buy one if the only solution is to remove or replace the battery. Could it also be the CMOS battery? Any easy way to diagnose it or differentiate among the possible causes?
